what do you think?
check out this link. Don't make any judgements all too quickly... this is what i want to talk about: how does the church, hillsong, planetshakers and christians in general respond and bounce back?

I think the general questions in my mind are:
What was he feeling at the time he decided to make those statements?
What led him to choose that as the best response to those feelings?
How does he feel about himself now?
Who is standing beside him?
It's not like I haven't said or done things that were dishonest. I just hope he has people behind him that love him in a real way. It's great that we get all excited about a dramatic testimony but at the end of the day, he's a sinner like me. Jesus still loves him so why shouldn't we?
God is STILL his healer.
this is true... just because this isn't a reality in his life at the moment, God is still who He says he is.
I think it sucks that it had to happen this way but more than point the finger and judge, i think the Church (all christians) should respond by wrapping ourselves around him. It's clear what he needs now is the support of his family and the body of Christ.
So I read an interview with his parents who are also pastors and they were saying that he has had a pretty serious mental sickness since childhood and his doctors are saying that his mind kind of took a break from reality. Aparently at times he genuinly believed that he had cancer, his body would even show symptoms of cancer including vommiting and hair falling out in clumps.
Our minds are amazingly powerful. I think he is struggling with a very REAL sickness of the mind. I think he needs a lot of support and prayer.
Poor dude, I can only imagine the hate mail he gets.
