did you see the DNC closing benediction? The senior Pastor of Northland (a church in Central Florida) closed the Democratic National Convention with a Benediction and prayer. it's a little different for some peoples because he's not a democrat. (no big deal to me)

Northland? I used to go there when I worked at Disney. I didn't get to get involved as much as I wanted to but from what I could tell it was a great church. Of course that was 1996 & 1997.
Note: Haven't seen it yet will after small group.

I didn't think it was that bad. Awkward... but I've seen far worse political pandering in a prayer setting.
This is why I can't be politically correct: because you end up looking like a spineless brown nosing jellyfish. Suckah.
yeah. i guess this guy has no need for a back bone. that whole playing the fence thing... it just makes you look foolish. not to mention, if you have faithful followers, you can definitely your rub your own people wrong by doing that.

Thought it was fine to be honest. What did you expect, he was closing a prayer for the DNC....DUH!!! The left is more accepting of all faiths than the right but thats m.o.
ummm... a spine. This guy is a Senior Pastor, a very vocal republican and a teacher of the BIBLE!! I can't understand why anyone would pass up an opportunity to raise up Christ's name like a banner as the ONE true God.
Regardless of your location, you should never compromise your loyalty to Jesus. Even if that means rubbing other people the wrong way. We definitely should be loving and welcoming all peoples of all walks of life, but i think it's pretty soft of him to punk out for the sake of political correctness. he needs to put his skirt away and go eat a steak!
